In the world of gadgets, it’s not uncommon to see new smartphones, smartwatches and laptops hitting the market on an annual basis. This year, though, things have been a little different. Tech giants have released their usual assortment of gadgets, but they’ve also thrown in some unexpected ones that could make your life even more interesting.
The term “gadget” can refer to any small mechanical or electronic device or tool, especially one that is ingenious or novel in design. Gadgets can take the form of hardware devices like USB drives or smartwatches, software apps such as widgets that reside on desktops to offer quick access to information and functionality, or even web-based tools that are miniature applications in browser windows.
A key difference this year, however, is that most gadgets have been designed to help users improve the quality of their work. The gadgets have been released to support the new iCloud Drive feature that allows users to easily store, access, and share their files across all of their Apple devices.
Inspector Gadget is an animated children’s science fiction comedy series co-created by Andy Heyward, Jean Chalopin and Bruno Bianchi. It follows the adventures of clumsy police officer Inspector Gadget, a dim-witted hero with various bionic gadgets built into his body who is sent on missions to thwart the plans of his nemesis Dr. Claw and his evil organization M.A.D. He is unknowingly assisted by his niece Penny and their anthropomorphic family dog Brain.
